II. Tim
Tim arose from the spilled chaos, filled with curiosity and the stubborn tendency to ask inconvenient questions. The creator was horrified, looking upon disgust at Tim, and further saddened by his fallen egg.
“Why did the egg fall?” Tim asked.
The Creator, wiping yolk from the blueprint, sighed. “It was an accident.”
Tim frowned. “But what’s an accident?”
The Creator opened their mouth, then realized they didn’t know. While they were thinking, Tim wandered over and touched the blueprint, smudging a continent into the wrong shape.
“Like that,” the Creator muttered.
From that moment on, Tim followed the Creator everywhere, asking questions that left messes for miles to come.
Finally, the Creator groaned, “Tim, you are the reason accidents happen!”
Tim brightened. “Oh good,” he said. “Then I must be doing something right. Nature and I are full of accidents.
The creator frustrated with Tim and the idea that his perfect world was now full of accidents, cast him away to live on Earth with his accidents forever.
